JRDA LANDFILL POLICIES

 

Effective October 29, 2002 , the new landfill operating hours will be:

Tuesday thru Friday . . . . . . . . . . 9:00 am to 5:30 pm - year around

Saturdays . . . . . . .  . .8:00 am to 4:30 pm - year around

[ CLOSED on Sundays, Mondays and Holidays ]

 

 

                  Free dumping is available to all residential and business customers who are paying a monthly residential or business disposal fee to Levan, Mona, Rocky Ridge, Nephi, or Juab County .

                    Any customer not paying a monthly business or residential disposal fee to Levan Town, Mona City, Rocky Ridge Town, Nephi City, or Juab County will be required to purchase a dumping permit from the Juab County Clerk/Auditor's Office (160 North Main, Nephi, UT. 84648 phone: 435-623-3410) & present the dumping permit before dumping at the landfill.  Commercial haulers of waste from fee paying customers are exempt.

                    Loads brought to the landfill must be secured as required by Federal, State and County laws.  Loads brought to the landfill by fee paying customers that are not secured with tie downs or by a suitable cover will be assessed the fees referred to below.   Unsecured loads of dumping permit customers will be charged double the fee.

  Illegal Dumping:

                    County Ordinance 15-1 makes it unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to dispose of solid waste in any area of the county other than in an approved landfill.  Violation of this Ordinance constitutes a Class C misdemeanor for the first offense and a class B misdemeanor for the second offense.  Violators will be prosecuted.

 

NO HAZARDOUS WASTE WILL BE ACCEPTED!
